Our Promise

Happy clients are why we’re in business! Whether you have grand desires for a large project or just need help with the little things, we would love to be of service! Each client receives our full attention regardless of project size; we don’t believe in “cutting the line”. Everyone deserves quality one-on-one time and focus when hiring a professional. It’s only fair.

And you always know who you’ll be working with, from day one until the job is done! If you’ve ever had the experience of being shuffled from one project manager to another, it can feel like you’re the lowest person on the totem pole. We believe in treating our clients with the respect they show us by retaining our services in the first place, and that means being ultra-communicative and responsive to questions.

Lastly, if we’re not a great fit for your type of work then we’ll do our very best to find someone who is! We believe that helping others is paramount in getting us all to where we want to be. The phrase “a rising tide lifts all boats” is a belief held dear by everyone we collaborate with.

Additions and Remodeling

Have an unfinished attic you wish could be living space? Want to expand that garage or add a backyard cottage? How about adding a second story or making that crawl space a full-height basement?

Whether you wish to build up or out (or stay within the current footprint of your home) we can perform all kinds of pre-design services to make sure what you want to do is possible (legal) on your lot.

Then, we work with you to explore just how

“Less Is More” Mentality.

Some architects push you to go all-in for the most expensive design services because their fee is a set percentage of the construction cost. It’s simple: the longer your to-do list is, the more costly it will be to get done… and the more money they can make off of you. But is this the right approach? Sometimes our biggest achievement is talking you out of something, if we really don’t think that the time and expense will satisfy you. Again, it comes down to listening to what you say to us and get down to the why you want something, not just the what and how much. There are plenty of people ready to take your money and could care less about what makes you happy.

It’s a privilege to be an architect, and a service to provide for you. There are cold-hearted people out there that just look to design the biggest building for the cheapest cost and the most profit and say this is the only way to run a business. and that if you don’t think that way, you’re an idiot. Well, color me blind, we care more about solving problems than we do about making a buck off of it. That’s the way to a better world.

Obviously designing a new house is going to take longer and have many more questions to answer than just finishing out a basement (and nobody would argue that). But we would only advocate for designing a whole new house if all you have to work with is a vacant piece of property.

unless you own a vacant piece of property and WBut it’s easy to claim that doing more work now will save you money in the long run. This isn’t necessarily a lie, but how long are you planning to run for? 20 years? 50?

Instead, we listen first to what your needs are and prioritize working with what you have. Not only is this the responsible approach, but the sustainable one as well, as the reuse of existing spaces cuts down on new construction waste. Does this mean we make less money off of you? Of course it can. But our business will take care of itself - it’s you we’re concerned about.

Grow it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t just take our word for it… listen to what others are saying!

“Big Picture” Design

So, why bother with an architect?

Simple: we approach things from a “master planning” perspective. Anyone can solve one problem at a time, but architects are trained to search for the underlying causes of concern and chaos in your current home environment and treat those first. For example, it’s not just about what kinds of cabinets you want, but how you prefer to use the kitchen itself, whether it’s a family hub or a solo task-oriented room. We ask questions, and we don’t offer advice until we’ve listened to you talk. It’s not about us, it’s about you! It may sound a lot more like therapy, but understanding you and your goals is paramount to providing thoughtful, personalized plans of action. Picking cabinets is easy - save that for when you’re finished with the hard stuff!
